Tek Source USA (TSU) Project and Program Management functions adhere to a well defined process; (1) Senior Executive sponsorship, (2) Communicate and promote the project to our partners and throughout the enterprise with marketing, sales and education for the team, management and end users, (3) Develop tailored methods by project or program to test and reinforce the basic tenets of project management knowledge and enterprise business practices, (4) Properly communicate performance measures to the Program Management Office (PMO) as it is expected the (PMO) will provide a scheduled integrated performance view of projects or programs on a timely basis, (5) Course Correct as required, “ Change is imperative for Project and Program focused organizations” (6) Bring in outside experts to tell our management or team what they may not want to hear, “ No person is a prophet in his / her own land” (6) Create an oversight capability in the PMO to asses not just what has happened, but more important what is likely to happen, (7) Establish a proactive technical oversight to understand the underlying details and develop defensible forecasts of future performance and risks, (8) Report cards to team, functional managers and executives on their project performance, (9) Maintain Octographs of the eight most important metrics a manager needs to track,(10) Keep Stakeholders motivated, always keep in mind that successful performance or implementations are 80% people, processes and culture and only 20% software, hardware and technology.
